Learning Outcomes: 

  1.  To teach students the importance of conserving and preserving resources.
  2.  To develop the ability to think and organise the thinking to create something useful.
  3. To indulge the students in extracurricular activity with exclusive tool i.e. waste material to explore the environmental concepts. 
  4.  Reduce the amount of waste on the earth.
  5.  To increase economic security by tapping a domestic source of the material.
  6.  To prevent pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw materials.

 Description:  

 Creativity is making marvellous out of the discarded. 

Best out of waste simply means to make or to bring out something innovative and attractive things from the material we do not use anymore.

Talented DPsites too used their creativity and made beautiful, useful and attractive items from the discarded items. They presented the best example to show 3R's -Reuse, Reuse and Recycle by creating artwork on waste glass, plastic bottles and craftwork using paper strips, feathers, rings etc. Efforts of students were worth appreciable.

 Variations possible: Students can create planters, bird feeders, wall hangings, table decor, wall decor, cards and many more articles using waste generated at homes.

Virtual Tour of Rajasthan

 Executed by: Students of grades I and II

Description: Children of Bodhisattva club Grade I and II of GD Goenka Public School, Raj Nagar Extension Ghaziabad on 17 July 2021  participated in the making of treasure box activity and decorated it with mirrors, beads etc. They were also taken on the virtual tour to Rajasthan. 

 Learning Outcomes:

Encouraging active participation. 

Developing communication skills.

Developing listening skills. 

Developing Creativity. 

Developing general knowledge.

Identifying the importance of specific position of different organs of the insect body in different parts.

Examining the uniqueness of all insects as a family with similar physical features..

Life cycle of a butterfly

Description: Students were told to create an edible 3D model to show the life cycle of a butterfly. Children used lotus seeds (eggs), peas (caterpillar), coconut (Pupa), orange and chillies ( butterfly)  and other materials to create the life cycle.
