Description: 
Contemporary dance is an expressive dance that combines elements of several dance forms including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Ballet is a theatrical art form that uses dance, music, and scenery to convey a story, theme, or atmosphere.

The given activity helped the students to learn, enjoy and understand the concepts of science by applying it in real life.
The students read the chapter on their own as a first glance.
The class was divided into groups and were given one law of motion and few other terms to study upon.
Within groups the students shared their understanding of terms/laws in the chapter with examples.
Each group was then given a chance to express their understanding of the concept, giving more examples similar to the ones given in the chapter.
The groups also demonstrated situations in which the three laws of motion/friction applied.
The facilitator intervened or guided the class wherever needed to bring the clarity of concept.
The students were motivated to write their understanding of concepts in the form of a song combined with music.
The dance teacher helped the students to express their understanding of the concept through contemporary dance style (which they had learnt in their Performing Art class) with few moves of ballet. 
The students recorded and sent their video which was compiled by the team inhouse.

Variations possible: Similar activity can be done with the concept of Trigonometry, Periodic table, Verbs and Phrasal verbs for the students of Grade 9 and Grade 10 to make the concept easy and enjoyable.

They were shown a video as demo by the teacher. Then, they were suggested to make their own bird feeders to their creativity.

Description: Mandalas are the geometric designs that are made through uniform divisions of circle.
The students were learning Mandala Art in their Visual Education. So, the two concepts (Mandala Art and Fractions) were integrated through the activity. The students came out with beautiful and creative designs of the clock using the Operations on Fractions.

Using compass and appropriate radius, the student draws 4 concentric circles.
The four divisions thus created are filled with symmetrical repeated patterns keeping in mind the available space.
The students also colours the design to enhance the beauty in a balanced way.
The design is pasted at the centre of a square cardboard.
The student creates representations of number 1 – 12 using operations on fractions.
The student uses each operation at least once.
The representation cards are pasted at the appropriate place to demonstrate a clock.
Hands of the clock are pasted at the centre of the clock.

Note: Some students were able to move beyond fractions and even used Squares and Square Roots of grade 8 with fractions to represent the number.

Variations possible: Similar activity can be planned for the students of grade 8 with the concept of Square and square roots/Rational numbers.
